Uzbekistan. Travel along Tovucsay #3 – Azadbash. Hidden beauty.
It was 2-in-1 27 km long hike. We went along the Tovucsay river to the canyon with an awesome waterfall. After that we crossed a pass and came out to the Azadbashsay river. Azadbash gorge is less visited then Tovucsay because is harder to achieve it but views aren’t less magnificent. Less people – more tulips!
We can achieve only the first waterfall. Way to the second – it should be the separate story. At the end of the hike we climbed Verbludka mountain (1181m).

Verbludka mountain (1181m) -

Uzbekistan. Kokbet(1945m) – Maigashkan (2310m). Before the rain.
Our group planned to traverse two mountains in a one-day 18 km hike. It was sunny weather in the beginning but a little bit cloudy. it started worse on our way back. Views became blurred and worrisome. But we were lucky and storm was over. There is snow closer to the tops yet, but trees started to bloom already.

Uzbekistan. Akshuran pass – Kungurbuka mountain (1981m).
Spring begins in the mountains. First flowers appear. But there a lot of snow in shady places. We start our 18 km long hike near Chorbog reservoir to Akshuran pass. There are several scenic rocks near this pass – real place for selfy! Then we climbed on Kungurbuka mountain (1981 m) and come down in the evening.

Uzbekistan. From Kumishkan village to Gidjal village.
It was interesting hike about 25 km long. It began near Kumishkan village. We went to the confluence of Nurekata and Aksagata rivers and admired of surrounding views. Spring still began. There are no leaves on the trees. Grass is small yet. The water level in the rivers is low. Hills left their snow blankets, but high mountains still covered by snow. Then we climbed up to the hills near Surenata mountain. After that our way laid down along the canyon to Gidjal village. Mountains around Tashkent were an ocean floor in Triassic period and you can find an ancient shell 30 million years old!

Uzbekistan. Over Shakh-Kurgan (2020m) to the Sukok forest.
In the beginning of spring mountains still covered by snow. Medium hike on the top of Shakh-Kurgan became a challenge for our group. Most of us couldn’t climb because of the danger. Snow was very slippery and not all tourists have appropriate boots, not to mention about sticks. Some of us could climb and they were rewarded with magnificent views of mountains covered by snow and the Sukok forest.

Uzbekistan. Travel along Tovucsay #2.
I was here one year ago in May. There was a lot of tulips but now I met only couple. Spring is only beginning. There is a lot of water in the river, and it mixed with the mud – pure milk and coffee. We also climbed the nearest hill. It is a good place to watch the canyon and mountains far away.

-

Uzbekistan. Spring on Krasnogorsk hills.
It was a half of marathon hike about 20 km in the hills near small town of Krasnogorsk. Nature is waking up after unexpectedly strong winter. There is first grass on the hills but early for tulips yet. Shepards begin to herd. We were glad to this sunny day and a freshest air – presents from spring.

-

Uzbekistan. Surenata (2042m).
Winter hiking it is something special. When the temperature is about -20° C, strong wind and deep snow hike to the not highest mountain became a real challenge. But sunrise in the mountains covered by snow is mesmerising…

-

Uzbekistan. Western ridge of Big Chimgan (~2500m). Winter.
Hike was full of amazing views because of sunny weather. We were lucky. Temperature was comfortable enough. Tops of mountains covered by snow like after ice giant breath. Winter is coming!

Uzbekistan. Mazardjan (2048m). Fall.
Travel in the Yangiabad mountains again. Medium severity tour in the summer but there is winter in the mountains in November! The beginning was like beautiful winter fairytale – bright sun, blue sky, white show. But in the middle of the way the weather began to change. Sun hid, wind got stronger and snow has begun. We reached the peak but couldn’t stay there more then 10 minutes – only took some photos. Thanks god the temperature wasn’t low because it was real snow storm. Lack of shots – most views were hidden by fog and snow 😦
