Uzbekistan. Big Chimgan (3309m) climbing #2.
Started with the sunrise we achieved the top before the midday. The weather wasn’t too hot. Maybe it helped us had a high speed. The path was radial. The whole distance was about 14 km and the time was about 5 hours. We got an altitude gain about 1710m. And we had enough mana to visit the cross set little bit upper. gurumaps

Uzbekistan. Ohotnichy peak(3099m)
Another crazy hike for fans. We started from Tashkent about 4AM to reach Chimgan village before the dawn. It’s a radial track. Our way ran over Pesochny mountain pass. Then visit to the “Fridge”, “Foggy” mountain pass and the “Gates”. The aim was to climb Ohotnichy peak. And of course to return back to our bus. This day we made more then 26 km and got an altitude gain about 2166m. Way back was several hours in the full darkness with the lights on our heads only, sometimes in the snow. The way in the darkness seems endless especially at the end of long day. You go and go and can’t see a finish. Ohotnichy climbing is a real challenge.
As usual mountains around Big Chimgan present grandiose panoramas.

Uzbekistan. Risky “Ochkovy Isthmus”.
This day starts with the climbing on western ridge of Big Chimgan (~2500m). There is a lot of snow yet on this height but first flowers appeared already. Further our way laid down to the Beldersay river. This path goes through risky pass called “Ochkovy Isthmus”. It is the main goal of this trip – cross narrow steep pass. Most of the people cross it quietly but for some of us it can become insurmountable barrier. How many emotions even tears! But all overcame, bravo!
Big Chimgan and surrounding mountain ridges covered by snow are amazing.

Uzbekistan. Travel along Koksu. Green river.
This hike started before dawn and finished not after dusk but in the middle of the night. It was because we overcame about 34 km this day. Our way laid along the rough mountain river Koksu to the place called The Crack. Weather was beautiful – sunny and not too hot. Spring, first leaves.. I have no words to describe)
The river is amazing. Sometimes it quiet like slipping baby but in most cases it like galloping mare. Turk languages have one word meaning green and blue colors – it’s Kok. And Koksu shows itself in all palette from green to blue.
A path is different. Sometimes it’s good road but occasionally it becomes narrow thread along the cliff. Beware – it’s real challenge!

Uzbekistan. Travel along Tovucsay #3 – Azadbash. Hidden beauty.
It was 2-in-1 27 km long hike. We went along the Tovucsay river to the canyon with an awesome waterfall. After that we crossed a pass and came out to the Azadbashsay river. Azadbash gorge is less visited then Tovucsay because is harder to achieve it but views aren’t less magnificent. Less people – more tulips!
We can achieve only the first waterfall. Way to the second – it should be the separate story. At the end of the hike we climbed Verbludka mountain (1181m).

Uzbekistan. Kokbet(1945m) – Maigashkan (2310m). Before the rain.
Our group planned to traverse two mountains in a one-day 18 km hike. It was sunny weather in the beginning but a little bit cloudy. it started worse on our way back. Views became blurred and worrisome. But we were lucky and storm was over. There is snow closer to the tops yet, but trees started to bloom already.

Uzbekistan. Akshuran pass – Kungurbuka mountain (1981m).
Spring begins in the mountains. First flowers appear. But there a lot of snow in shady places. We start our 18 km long hike near Chorbog reservoir to Akshuran pass. There are several scenic rocks near this pass – real place for selfy! Then we climbed on Kungurbuka mountain (1981 m) and come down in the evening.

Uzbekistan. From Kumishkan village to Gidjal village.
It was interesting hike about 25 km long. It began near Kumishkan village. We went to the confluence of Nurekata and Aksagata rivers and admired of surrounding views. Spring still began. There are no leaves on the trees. Grass is small yet. The water level in the rivers is low. Hills left their snow blankets, but high mountains still covered by snow. Then we climbed up to the hills near Surenata mountain. After that our way laid down along the canyon to Gidjal village. Mountains around Tashkent were an ocean floor in Triassic period and you can find an ancient shell 30 million years old!

Uzbekistan. Over Shakh-Kurgan (2020m) to the Sukok forest.
In the beginning of spring mountains still covered by snow. Medium hike on the top of Shakh-Kurgan became a challenge for our group. Most of us couldn’t climb because of the danger. Snow was very slippery and not all tourists have appropriate boots, not to mention about sticks. Some of us could climb and they were rewarded with magnificent views of mountains covered by snow and the Sukok forest.
